The Hobby Treasury helps collectors scan cards and collectibles, estimate grade and value, and keep a private vault. This page explains what we store and what we never do.
Only to run The Hobby Treasury for you: sign you in, identify and estimate cards, keep your vault, run Treasure Hunter (which searches other members' collections and live eBay listings for the cards you are hunting) and member marketplaces, and support membership. Photos you scan are processed so the app can identify and estimate the item.
Nobody can browse your vault. Items you put on the Store or Trading Floor are visible to other members as needed to complete that feature. Other members do not see your phone number or email.
Treasure Hunter. When a card in your collection matches another member's hunt, that member sees that one card and its photo, never the rest of your collection. For members who joined on or after 11 September 2026 this is on until you switch it off. For members who joined before that, it is off unless you switched it on. Either way, the switch is under More, then Collection privacy, and turning it off takes your whole collection out of every hunt at once.
Service providers that host the database, deliver sign-in codes, run card-recognition and estimate models, and process membership payments (Stripe), plus eBay, which receives the words of a hunt (for example "1999 Base Set Charizard") as a search, never who is hunting. They process data only to provide that service and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Your information is held in a private, access-controlled database and is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers.
You can request deletion from the account deletion page, with or without the app installed. Deletion removes your account, sign-in identifier, vault items, hunts, listings and messages tied to you. Database backups roll off on their own within about 30 days.
The Hobby Treasury is meant for adults who buy, sell and grade collectibles. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
